Stardew Valley, the game that launched the indie farming sim scene and gave one 3080 TI a hard time (inside joke), is turning 10 years old today. Game creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone shared on his Youtube channel about the inner workings of the game. From its original name (Sprout Valley) to all the builds leading up to release.
Yet that’s not all, we can confirm that update 1.7 is coming…..sometime in the near future. This comes as no surprise to the Stardew community at the near glacial pace that these updates come out (take your time, Eric, I can wait). Also in update 1.7 there will be 2 new marriage options. It is non-other than……Clint and Sandy. Yes, Clint and Sandy

Jokes (and slight shock/confusion at the Clint news) aside, this game has been apart of my personality since the beginning. After hundreds of hours, I always seem find something new and comforting. Here’s to some more years of Stardew and less years between Haunted Chocolatier updates. Please, Eric, PLEASE!!
