Nintendo has officially announced the Nintendo Switch 2 this morning. Beyond some new refinements and smooth edges, the Switch 2 is largely the same as its predecessor. It’s a bit bigger, a bit wider and the Joycons click in as opposed to sliding into. We did see a soft reveal of a possible new Mario Kart so that is pretty cool. Also, the Switch 2 is going to have backwards compatibility with Switch 1 games (which I am glad they mention that because I couldn’t deal with months more of speculation about this) . A Nintendo Direct is scheduled for April 2nd to explain more of the features (which I will cover when that happens).
