Musk is letting his hatred of unions show again

How is he flying to Mars with an ego so fragile?

It shouldn’t come as a shock to people that I will always stand and fight for the workers. The fact that everyday people get knocked around by those who can control the wealth is wrong. Actually, it isn’t just wrong. It’s downright exploitive. But Musky Musk shows yet again he doesn’t care at all.

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) filed a complaint on Wednesday against SpaceX. The NLRB alleged that SpaceX fired employees who wrote an open letter critical of Musk and his behavior. This led SpaceX to also interrogate several employees to see if they had anything to do with the letter. It also accused them of pressuring employees to quit if they were participating in “organized activities”.

SpaceX has now filed a lawsuit to combat these claims. It alleges that the open letter was merely a “distraction to SpaceX employees around the country.” The lawsuit goes on to say that the NLRB proceedings are unconstitutional because it denies SpaceX a jury trial. It also makes the claim that the NLRB is unconstitutionally overstepping their bounds because the agency “is miles away from the traditional understanding” of what’s happening.

If anything, I hope the open letter served as an appropriate distraction. I hope that it woke up the employees at SpaceX. If I can talk about my boss or express my feelings toward them safely, then what’s the point. I know people don’t go to work to be liked, but that doesn’t give management the right to fire people for opinions.

Also, last time I checked, Americans have the right to organize. Understandably, becomes of how capitalism has made workers rights enforcement toothless, it is still a right that people have. Musk shouldn’t be able to get away with this. Any capitalist shouldn’t.

Unfortunately, this is where we are.
