This year, Apple seemed to be making a huge push towards gaming. The iPhone 15 Pro line was touting some big gaming specs like hardware ray tracing. The M-series Macs have been seeing some huge boosts in performance over their Intel predecessors. I’m not sure the base is included, but the M3 series of Macs also boast hardware ray tracing and better overall graphics. But, with all that power, it seems like Apple gamers will have to wait a bit longer for Death Stranding.

While games like Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 are out now, some of us don’t want to play games that are overtly scary. Sometimes, I just want a game were I play a delivery man walking across the vastness of barren US. Occasionally, I might want to be visited with otherworldly creatures from the other side.

But that’s not happening this year as promised. 505 Games, the publishers of Death Stranding, have informed us all that it needs “a little more time.”

Of course, when it does come out, you can get it on iPhone 15 Pro (Max), M-series iPads, and M-series Macs. It’ll be $40.

Given how the Mac ports of these games have been so far, I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait.
