If you happen to own a Meta Quest 2, 3, or Pro, you now have a chance to sit near courtside at 52 NBA games. Unfortunately, you won’t be rubbing elbows with the likes of Jay-Z or Jack Nicholson, though. You’ll be sharing the stands with a bunch of leg-less avatars.
That’s right, the games you’ll be watching will be through the Meta Quest products using Xtadium. Xtadium XR sports viewing app partners with NASCAR to show races for free. They also allow for UFC fights if you have the Fight Pass Subscription.
The NBA is joining through a multi-year partnership with Meta with the Quest being “the official VR headset of the NBA”.
I think it might be time to dust off my Meta Quest 2 and watch a few games.
