Apple release a group of new updates to fix some problems

Apple has released a few updates to fix some bumps in the road their OSes seemed to run into.

iOS 17.1.1

iOS 17.1.1 includes a wireless charging fix that cropped up in BMWs. It also fixes a newly discovered glitch when displaying snow in the Weather app.

This update provides bug fixes for your iPhone including:

  • In rare circumstances, Apple Pay and other NFC features may become unavailable on iPhone 15 models after wireless charging in certain cars
  • Weather Lock Screen widget may not correctly display snow

watchOS 10.1.1

watchOS 10.1.1 seems to fix an issue that was causing excess battery drain on some Apple Watch models. This was confirmed by Apple.

macOS 14.1.1

This update doesn’t mention much with regards to what it does outside of important bug fixes and security updates.

This update provides important bug fixes and security updates and is recommended for all users.

Some features may not be available for all regions, or on all Apple devices.

There is also a macOS 13.6.2 update available that appears to be available for the 14-inch M3 MacBook Pro. Some reports have noted that new Macs have been shipping with Ventura (13) with no way to upgrade to Sonoma (14). There have been no word if either of these updates fixes that issue.
