Possibly the worst deal in gaming in terms of consoles is getting a bundle at the end of the month to get people started.

The bundle includes a white Xbox Series S with 512 GB of storage (365 GB of it usable), 3 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (PC, Console, Cloud) and a Wireless controller. This seems like just enough to make you wish you had more storage for your games.

Okay, I tried to hold back, but I’m gonna have to put on my editorial hat here.

No matter what Xbox or anyone tries to tell you, the Series S has to be the worst deal in gaming. As mentioned before, it comes with less than any usable storage built into the system which was only made slightly more bearable by the fact that the external storage cards came down in price recently. I’ll also throw in the fact that they are offering Game Pass Ultimate for three months were you can play these games in the cloud until you figure out a storage solution. Even then, you still have to hope you don’t have a data cap for either of these solutions because your only options with this system is to download or stream which can eat up precious data.

If you asked me (and I know nobody did), I’d ditch the 512 GB box and sell the 1 TB model as the base and lower that price down to where the 512 GB sat.

But I digress…

Anyway, the Xbox Series S Starter Bundle will go on sale worldwide on October 31 for $299.99.
