Ubisoft’s Call of Duty styled shooter, xDefiant has been delayed indefinitely.

This comes after yet another round of public testing. Ubisoft has discovered some “inconsistencies in the game”. They would like to have these issues resolved before the game is released.

The team will continue working to address these issues and testing them to make sure we deliver on our goal of being a best-in-class arcade shooter

Ubisoft said, adding that it will share more information about launch “as it comes.”

The executive producer, Mark Rubin, also released a statement to the same effect, stating that the team has found “some things” that made them decide that the game will need some extra time in the over to “fix or improve the experience for everyone”.

xDefiant will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One when it eventually launches as a free-to-play FPS.
