So, let’s dig into it!
At #1 this week, yet again another podcast! The first actual podcast to post to the site, the TTT crew discuss some of the odd changes happening over on Twitter, the completed acquisition of ABK by Microsoft, how successful a game can be even if it’s on Game Pass.
More Epic Games drama comes in at #2. The other shoe finally dropped on Bandcamp when employees were notified whether they were going to the new company or not. Coincidentally, those who were a part of the union didn’t make it over. Interesting…
At #3 was an update to an existing post about AMD’s anti-lag feature causing bans in Counter-Strike 2. The update mentioned that AMD had pulled the drivers causing the issue and have since provided new drivers that disabled the feature.
In more labor news, the #4 spot goes to Microsoft’s social network, LinkedIn, cutting more jobs despite growing quarter after quarter. But as someone pointed out in this week’s podcast, acquiring studios isn’t cheap.
At #5 is another updated story. After terrible things said about the Ukranian people were discovered in the installation of Ubuntu 23.10, the OS was pulled. The update in the story was that they have officially restored the OS and people can continue downloading it. What a way to spoil a 19th birthday!
And, to round out the list at #6, because Musky Musk doesn’t want to handle the responsibilities necessary for running a social network, he’d rather just block access to the site from the EU. This along with charging folks $1 a year to access Twitter to “fight bots” marks another banner week for “the smartest business man alive”.
