For someone so afraid of AI, Musk built an AI using Twitter data

I wonder if he knows Microsoft already built an AI off Twitter data.

Musky Musk just loves being a living contradiction. Especially when it comes to AI.

Saturday, Musk announced that Premium+ subscribers of Twitter will get access to Grok. Grok is an AI chatbot from the makes of xAI, Musk’s AI company. It is still in beta, but a few people got access to it over the weekend.

Musk showed off some screenshots and confirmed that it will have humor built into its responses. So, if you want a bot to have the humor of a 12 year old who just saw a Playboy for the first time, this one’s for you.

Not only will it have the same energy as someone living in Ebaum’s World back in the early internet. It’ll also have the energy of Twitter’s existing user base. Remember Microsoft Tay? Yeah, that but not a mistake.

This “announcement” came out around the same time as OpenAI’s first developer conference. There is some significance there. Musk co-founded the company and was on the board until 2018.

Don’t mind the bitter small man behind the curtain.
