While the game isn’t out yet for everyone, many people have been able to play the new Forza Motorsport in early access if they paid a little extra. However, with many things coming in early access, not everything will be working as expected.

According to posts from r/XboxSeriesX and the Forza Forums, there is a game-breaking bug in the game. It appears that when you buy a new car or upgrade an existing car, the game will enter a loading screen that doesn’t seem to load anything.

It was stated that the game doesn’t time out or produce an error message and the only way to get out of the game is to close it completely. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t save before the loading screen hits so you end up losing any progress you may have made before the last save.

At best, you may have to redo some races you’ve already done, but some have reported that “once this happens, you will not be able to progress in the game because the saves are now de-synced or corrupted.”

At the time of this writing, there has been no acknowledgment of this bug or a fix from Turn 10 Studios, but hopefully the game will be patched before the game releases for everyone else this Tuesday.
